Do you love someone who seems to be out of control with a gambling problem? Maybe it is a subtle presence in their life that is having an adverse effect, though, on the surface, things seem fine.
It may seem that they are not trying to deal with the addiction, may not even admit that there is one, but as the old saying goes, “Still waters run deep.” Once they recognize the help is available, they may want to stop gambling, or they may want to stop playing but do not know how to start.
Your loved one may want to stop gambling, may wish to improve, but may not know-how. You can take steps to help that person prevent further retention of the addicted thought and action. You can save a life by helping them in leaving this addiction. Start by asking them basic questions.
Here are some questions you may want to ask your loved one if you suspect or know that there is a problem:
* Did your loved one have a lot of financial problems?
* Did your loved one do other things to feel good, such as engage in illegal activities (such as drinking or using drugs)?
Many more questions can be asked, but the fact is that not everyone who gambles or who plays the lottery regularly is addicted to such a severe addiction as pathological gambling.
However, just because someone is not addicted does not mean that they are ordinary people who have no problems. For example, some people who play the lottery have issues related to gambling addiction does not automatically mean that all people who play the lottery have no problems.
These problems could exist because the individual suffering from them is still intelligent enough to realize they have a problem and seek help. However, the fact that a problem exists does not mean that the problem is being ignored or ignored.
On the contrary, the key to effectively dealing with the problem is to address the source of the problem, whether it is a family member, a friend, or someone else.
In addition, the signs of gambling addiction can be different depending on the circumstances of the individual’s life. Thus it is essential to find out the signs of problem gambling to respond to the situation appropriately.
